Bristol Grammar School tops league table

The latest Government league tables, based on 2011 exam results, have just been released and place BGS as the top school in Bristol at GCSE. An impressive 100% of our pupils achieved 5 or more GCSEs (including Maths and English) at grades A*-C, more than at any other Bristol school. We are delighted that the league table reflects the hard work of our teachers and the achievements of our students, more than half of whom gained 8 or more GCSEs all at grade A* or A.

The exam success at Bristol Grammar School continues right through to Sixth Form, with the league tables showing 98% of BGS pupils gaining 3 or more ‘A’ levels, a figure no Bristol school exceeded. These fantastic results are all the more impressive when you consider that almost 40% of students secured all 3 of their ‘A’ levels at grade A* or A.
