A fabulous assembly from 6DC, with lots of music and singing, provided a great end to BGS Juniors' week on the theme of “Helping Others” this morning (Friday 21 September).

There was also plenty of evidence of BGS Infants and Juniors' work to help others with Laura Hughes from the charity Help for Heroes joining the assembly to receive a cheque for a massive £1546.32. As she thanked the children, she said it was the largest cheque she had ever received from a school! This amount is just a third of the total raised by BGS Infants and Juniors last year in support of their three chosen charities – Help for Heroes, Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal and the WWF. Well done to all our pupils for this fantastic effort.
