OB to perform in Jubilee Concert

30.05.2012 - Bristol Cathedral, Friday 15 June

Former Bristol Grammar School pupil and talented soprano Josephine Goddard will be performing in the High Sheriff of Bristol's Diamond Jubilee Concert at Bristol Cathedral next month. Josephine, who is described in the concert programme as "An award-winning, gifted soprano with a fast-growing reputation", left BGS in 2010 and, having won a Foundation Scholarship, went on to study at The Royal College of Music.

The concert, which takes place in the Cathedral on Friday 15 June at 7.30pm, will see Josephine perform a classical arrangement with Paul Potts, winner of Britain's Got Talent, and the Bristol Ensemble. As well as celebrating the jubilee, the concert will also raise funds for The High Sheriff's Fund, which supports Bristol Youth and Community Action, providing holiday activities for vulnerable and disadvantaged children.  Money will also go towards the Fitzhardinge Society which does educational work in the city and assists with the upkeep of the Cathedral.

If you would like to hear Josephine sing, ticket details are available from 0117 946 8184.
