Learning Support

At BGS Infants and Juniors we strive to ensure children will fulfil their potential, whatever their strengths and skills. Our pupils are taught in small, mixed-ability classes with additional support for children who may want to expand their learning or who will benefit from extra help, if ever and whenever they may need it.

Children with learning difficulties or disabilities are provided with individual assistance to help them progress and develop their learning in line with their peer group.

Our curriculum provides both the breadth and the depth to develop and stimulate pupils who are gifted and talented, providing all our children with the opportunities they need to become the young people they want to be. Girls and boys perform equally well at all levels. Some of the brightest are encouraged through Challenge Club, where they develop their ingenuity and creativity by problem-solving in small teams.

Supporting and promoting a culturally diverse environment, the School caters for children for whom English is not their principle language.
