Your Teachers

You’ll notice the difference when you step into our Sixth Form, a place where students are treated on a level with their teachers. You’ll be inspired by our subject teachers and supported and mentored by your Tutor, someone who will be working to enhance both your personal and academic development through a relationship fostered by teamwork and underpinned by mutual respect.

The enthusiasm of Director of Sixth Form Justin Harford is contagious. He is supported by an equally innovative, specialist team. Deputy Head of Sixth Form, Melanie Guy is the School Career Advisor. From her base in the Sixth Form Centre, she provides invaluable and energetic support to every student on an individual basis. Sara Bassett leads our programme of Peer Mentoring, which both supports our students and creates a rare opportunity in terms of personal development and leadership for Sixth-form students in our School. Sixth-form Tutor and Head of Leadership Development, Andrew Dimberline is responsible for many unique opportunities for personal development, both individual responsibilities involved in the running of our School as well as unforgettable team challenges in the Alps to the Arctic.

“My Tutor has really encouraged me to step out of my normal comfort zone. I went for a part in the House Play. It was my first and I loved it.”
