Community & Charity

Bristol Grammar School has an ethos of community and charitable giving. As part of our larger School community and as an individual in our Sixth Form, you’ll be offered the opportunity to involve yourself in some excellent projects where you can learn, develop and really make a difference.

 

We partner an educational charity so that girls and young women in Morocco can complete their studies. You can help, not just by raising money but by travelling to Africa to witness first-hand the work being done to provide single sex accommodation near to their schools.

 

You can be directly involved in student fundraising and become part of the Charity Committee, the focus of three weeks of fundraising activities that raise thousands of pounds for a cause that your Committee will choose.

 

As an individual, you can volunteer to support an organisation or project of your choice, perhaps discovering new strengths in an unfamiliar situation. BGS students are involved in supporting youth groups, the elderly, charity shops and environmental volunteering to name a few, all activities that can be timetabled as part of your school week.
