Expeditions & Visits

Life is an adventure and it starts here.  At Bristol Grammar School, you’ll find some unique opportunities to travel and explore, discovering what’s different about our world and its cultures as well as overcoming significant physical and mental challenges, way off the beaten track.

Some take in Michael Angelo or Medici, others head for the manga and modernism in Japan.  Twenty eight students will this year trek in the Arctic. Many more will succeed closer to home, working together to complete their Duke of Edinburgh Award outdoor challenges.  Our sports teams are successful at home and regularly take their competitiveness abroad, crossing continents and making life-long friendships on route.

Whether through conferences, visits, working with organisations across our city or travelling to landmark sites further a field, whatever your course of study, there will be many opportunities for you to expand your horizons outside our School, part of our commitment to provide a rich and varied learning experience.

“This was a trip like no other and will hold memories for us in years to come.  Knee deep in powder we made it to places that before we’d only ever skied in our dreams.”
