The Juniors hockey is played alongside football as the Spring term sport. In the Senior School hockey is the main sport for boys during the Spring term, played by all age-groups from U12 through to senior level. The School is well represented by our hockey teams, with four senior teams and an ‘A’ and ‘B’ team in the younger age-groups developed by an experienced coaching side led by Kevin Blackburn.

 

We have some fantastic facilities at Failand including two all-weather astro turf pitches and a team of dedicated coaches. Each year has a Games afternoon at Failand with Senior School sides match preparation supported through an additional weekly practice. Fixtures are played on each Saturday with a number of mid-week matches. Each group begins the preparation for the Spring term with pre-season practice, which starts after the October half-term.
