Head of cricket – Kevin Blackburn
Cricket is the main sport for boys during the Summer term, played by all age-groups in school. Students have access to fantastic facilities, both indoor and outdoor. Bristol Grammar School has four grass squares at Failand, an artificial wicket, and artificial and grass nets. There are lots of opportunities for students to represent the Senior School, as ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams run in each age-group until Year 10, with three teams then operating from Year 11 to Sixth Form. Each group will begin preparation for the Summer term in the winter-nets, which start at the beginning of the Spring term.
There are fixtures on each Saturday of term, including a number of mid-week matches. Students will prepare for their matches during their Games afternoon, supported through an additional weekly practice.
