Fencing
Fencing
There is an extensive programme of fencing at Bristol Grammar School, with both the Junior and Senior School taking part.
In the Junior School, pupils have the chance to try fencing as part of the activity programme for a six-week taster session. After this there is a club for any interested pupils on Tuesday after-School. There is also the Junior School Squad session on Mondays for those children who compete regularly at regional and national level.
In the Senior School fencing is part of the Year 7 Activity programme with all students taking part for five weeks. Once again there is the opportunity to join the Fencing Club afterwards on Wednesday after-School with the squad session on Friday evening. Students can also arrange individual lessons during the week.
BGS pupils have the opportunity to fence for fitness and fun, or compete from regional to international level.
