Hockey is the main sport in the Autumn term for all girls at Bristol Grammar School and has gone from strength to strength over the last few years and the Senior School now have twelve teams playing regular fixtures throughout the Autumn term. This includes four senior sides, and ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams in every year-group.

 

We have some fantastic facilities at Failand including two all-weather astro turf pitches and a team of dedicated coaches. Each team from U12 to U15 has one practice session within the curriculum and one after school. The U16 and U18 teams have access to two practice sessions within the curriculum, one early morning and one after-school practice. The girls play to a high standard and compete extremely well on a strong schools’ circuit that sees them pitted against the likes of Cheltenham Ladies College, Taunton School, the Bath schools and Marlborough College.
 

The hockey coaching team has a wealth of experience, all of whom are committed to developing girls’ hockey in the School.
