Brian Barron – Bristol Grammar School statement

Bristol Grammar School is very sad to hear of the death of Brian Barron who was a much respected and admired Old Bristolian (1949-55).

As a School, we followed his assignments and successes with great interest and were immensely proud of his many achievements. He was generous to give time to return to BGS and talk to current students about his experiences which was a great inspiration to many, especially those with an interest in pursuing a career in journalism. When in Bristol he would make a point of visiting his former Headmaster and his favourite teacher – sadly, the latter also passed away this summer.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.
