Our aim at BGS is to provide an exciting academic curriculum complemented by a rich variety of extra-curricular activities.
We believe in the intellectual fulfillment that imaginative study brings and our curriculum in Years 7 – 9 gives pupils an opportunity to explore their strengths in the arts, mathematics, the sciences, languages, technology, creative subjects and sport. For GCSE we help them to select options which will bring enjoyment, challenge and success.
In the Sixth Form, we offer 26 subjects and almost without exception any combination of those subjects a student chooses. We are proud of our ability to meet students’ individual needs and proud of the results they achieve.
But education at BGS is about far more. We set aside two afternoons each week for pupils to follow a vibrant programme of activities in which pupils and teachers share and enjoy common interests. From scuba diving to Mandarin, the choice is yours.
After school too, the campus is alive with drama and music rehearsals, sports practices and subject societies, testimony to the energy and initiative of BGS pupils.
