Mathematics

Autumn

Mental arithmetic: 2, 5, 10 x times tables, reading and writing numbers to 1000, counting on or back in 10s from any two digit number, know by heart addition and subtraction facts for each number to 20. Shape: properties of 2D and 3D shapes, lines of symmetry in shapes. Money: understand and use and p notation. Data Handling: organising data in simple graphs. Problem solving and investigations: explaining methods and reasoning.

Adding and subtracting fractions. Place value to 1000, addition, subtraction, continue to learn and revise 2, 3, 4 and 5, 6 and 10 times tables, division up to 100. Problems involving dates and time. Measurement mm, cm, m and km. Weight g, kg. Number investigations. Fractions.
