Activities

A whole afternoon each week is dedicated to our varied Activities Programme. All pupils from Year 3 to Sixth Form have the chance to experiment and develop a taste for new things, for example pottery or dry-slope skiing, craft modelling or drama and, for our older students, the rewards of community service and the challenging Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme.

From these valuable experiences children often discover new skills and talents which they pursue in our extra-curricular clubs, run during the lunch hour or after school.

A snapshot of a term's activities shows the wide range on offer:

Swimming, fencing, library, metronics, house magazine, zoo, cookery, bridge, first aid, badminton, museums, circus skills, debating, creativity, digital photography, climbing, drama, mind games, technical theatre, chess, car maintenance, community service, critical thinking, creative writing, dance, deaf awareness, DJ, Duke of Edinburgh, fashion design, film, golf, hockey, model animation and video, Peru expedition, rugby, sailing, scuba diving, skiing, squash, stage crew, tennis, time out, weights, Young Enterprise, yoga.
