The BGS drama department’s state-of-the-art facilities are amongst the best in the region and support a wide and busy schedule of drama productions.  

Our well equipped Mackay Theatre seats 144 and boasts a 48 channel lighting board, 16 channel sound desk, a huge stock of lanterns, set / scenery / tools / props along with an extremely well stocked costume store with costumes for all ages and across a wide range of periods.
 
The Owen Room has a wooden sprung dance floor, 24 channel lighting system, with its own control desk and PA system. The studio space can be configured for any kind of audience (i.e. in the round, thrust, traverse as well as traditional 'end-on').
 
The wonderful atmosphere of our stunning amphitheatre makes it a great outdoor venue. With seating for an audience of approximately 100 and situated adjacent to the Mackay Theatre, it’s used regularly for drama and music productions.
