Modern Foreign languages

Modern languages are taught largely in two blocks, both with classrooms set up solely for classes in French, German, Russian and Spanish. These classrooms are equipped with data projectors and internet access and are decorated with a range of display materials to aid language learning. Our listening resources have been digitised to be played every lesson via teachers’ laptop computers and we also have the facility to use exercises for interactive whiteboards. All groups have at least one lesson every two weeks in the MFL ICT room. This suite of computers, again reserved for language learners’ use, gives us permanent internet access and enables us to offer the full range of ICT possibilities to promote our pupils’ enjoyment and success.
