Music

Our music department is fortunate to be situated in its own building, with three teaching rooms, a separate 12-computer suite running Sibelius and six practice rooms of varying sizes for individuals and groups. In addition the department has the beautifully appointed John James Room with its very fine acoustics, ideal for small concerts or larger rehearsals. Use is also made of the large Owen Room and the fully equipped Mackay Theatre, and most of Bristol Grammar School's concerts take place in the impressive Great Hall. The School has four grand pianos, 3 of which are less than 10 years old, and a range of uprights found in the practice rooms.  A range of instruments is also available for hire.
