Bursaries and Scholarships

Bristol Grammar School was established as a Foundation in 1532.  Wise investment since then combined with the generosity of Old Bristolians means that we have an endowment which we use to provide bursaries for talented children whose family income is limited.  We have 1105 students at BGS and this year we gave financial support to 99 students in our Lower School, Upper School and Sixth Form.

More information about bursaries can be found here.

BGS is delighted to announce that we are introducing new Scholarships starting with fifteen awards to Year 7 students joining BGS in September 2010, each worth 25% remission on fees. Thirteen Pople Scholarships will be awarded for academic excellence, with two further awards recognising specific talent in sport or the creative and performing arts. To register interest, please contact the Admissions Team.
