We maintain strong professional and social connections with Old Bristolians long after they have left school. We have an active annual programme of events for all ages and promote and encourage friendships, professional engagement and support.
Further Details can be found on the dedicated OBs Online website.
The BGS Network
We have a network of thousands of former pupils, many of whom have made their mark on the world in their chosen field. We have among them, entrepreneurs and business leaders, scientists, artists and performers, academics and athletes at the top of their game. They range in age from school-leavers who can tell you about life at university, to seasoned professionals who can guide you through career choices.
The Old Bristolians’ Network is available to all former students, we have a very active group on LinkedIn and a growing network on our website. We aim to encourage our Sixth Form students to make use of these networks so that they can actively seek help with career decisions and university choices.
We are keen to facilitate a flourishing mentoring programme which is available to students, and young alumni making a start in the world of work. We encourage OBs, to connect with their old school and offer support and advice through this mentoring programme. We hope that you will help others in the future.
The Old Bristolian Society hosts a variety of social events in Bristol and London and we are looking forward to running some career specific events to run alongside this programme. All events encourage volunteer support from OBs to keep in touch with friends and make new ones.
The OB Lecture Series
We have an exciting programme of guest speakers, who connect with us online from all over the world. We will maintain this format together with events hosted within the school and at selected venues in due course.
