We'll see many of you before you start in September. Below are some key events and dates that we have planned before you even begin Year 7.
Primary school visits We try and visit everyone who is joining us at their current school during the Summer term. (If you are joining BGS from a school a long way from Bristol, we may not be able to do this). We make the arrangements to do this with your current teacher and then pop in to say hello to you. This visit is a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about starting Year 7.
Moving up day, Tuesday 9 June On Tuesday 9 June you'll be invited to come and spend the day at BGS. You'll meet your Form Tutor and your classmates, as well as spending time with your Head of House. You'll take part in lots of fun activities and be able to make lots of new friends with all the other new Year 7 pupils. You'll also be given a new joiners booklet which tells you everything you need to know about starting at BGS.
Reception for parents and guardians, Tuesday 9 June After you've spent the day at BGS, in the evening there is a meeting for your parents or guardians. After an introduction from Mr Watkins, Head of Year 7, there will also be the chance for them to talk to your Form Tutor and Head of House as well as to meet other parents and guardians.
