The Book of Life

Join our tour guide for the evening, Mary Beth, as she takes us and a group of students on a secret museum tour. She transports us to the Mexican town of San Angel during the Day of the Dead, and she introduces us to La Muerte, the ruler of the Land of the Remembered, and Xibalba who rules the Land of the Forgotten. We also meet Manolo and Joaquin who even as children compete for the friendship of Maria. La Muerte and Xibalba strike a wager over who will win this competition for friendship: if La Muerte wins, Xibalba will no longer interfere in mortal affairs and if Xibalba wins, the two will swap realms. A fair bet? If only Xibalba hadn’t given Joaquin his Medal of Everlasting Life which he stole from Chakal the Bandit King who is out for revenge…
