Taster Days

If you are considering applying for your child to join BGS Infants and Juniors (in Year 1 or above), we would be delighted to welcome them to BGS for a Taster Day. They will join their current year group, allowing them to experience age-appropriate learning and meet some of their prospective schoolmates.

For children in Year 6 considering joining BGS in Year 7, we offer regular Taster Days throughout the Autumn term. Your child will spend the day with us in a group of other Year 6 visitors. As well as experiencing a variety of lessons, they will also have the chance to take part in an activity and to have lunch alongside our Year 7 pupils.

Our Taster Days usually take place on Wednesdays during the Autumn term; further details are available from the Admissions team.

We also offer Taster Days for Year 11 students who want to find out more about the Sixth Form at BGS. You'll be able to spend the day at BGS, sample lessons in the some of the subjects you are considering studying here and spend time with a buddy who has similar subject interests. There is also the opportunity to socialise in the JCR, making new friends and having lunch.

For pupils considering joining BGS in other year groups, or at other times of the year, we can also organise ad hoc Taster Days, subject to us having places available in the relevant year group.
