STEM Café: Why Bridges?

Senior School pupils and BGS parents are warmly invited to join us at our next STEM Café on Tuesday 20 November at 4.00pm.

Find out about a discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment at this Civil Engineering talk with Sandhya Sreekumar.

The talk will cover the broad sector of work Tony Gee are involved in, with a focus on bridges and the difference they can make. Almost 1 billion people around the world don’t have safe access to critical resources such as health care, education or employment, due to an impassable river. Hear how Bridges to Prosperity's charity work has aided development in disadvantaged communities.

The Café will start with refreshments at 4.00pm, followed by the talk from 4.10pm–5.00pm.
