Year 8 author event with Nikesh Shukla

Nikesh Shukla, author, screenwriter and award-winning editor of The Good Immigrant will be speaking to Year 8 pupils on Thursday 12 March about his new book The Boxer. This is the story of seventeen year old amateur boxer Sunny who having just moved to Bristol, is feeling isolated and joins a boxing club to learn to protect himself after a racist attack. The author’s 2018 novel Run, Riot has been shortlisted for this year’s Bristol Teen Book Award.
