It's not all work, work, work ...

Outside of the classroom, our size means that whatever your interests, there’ll be a club or activity to suit you in BGS Sixth Form.

Whether it’s taking part in sport, dance, drama or music, the DofE Award, or heading off on an expedition overseas, there are lots of opportunities to spend time doing something you enjoy with friends.

Whether you are studying for A levels or following the IB Diploma pathway, an afternoon each week is given over to Sport and another for Activities. Sport isn't just limited to team games; options have included running club, gym fitness sessions, spin classes, badminton, squash, climbing and aerobics. If you are keen on sport and activity, you can choose to do more during the Activity sessions but there are plenty of other options – photography, cookery, Model United Nations, volunteering, Young Enterprise, Greenpower ...

These provide an important balance to your academic studies, as well as the opportunity for a lot of fun and the chance to make memories which will last long after you’ve left BGS. You’ll also gain important skills, such as team work and communication, plus the confidence of knowing you can set yourself a challenge and rise to it, all of which will ensure that you leave us well prepared for your future, be that university, a Gap Year, or the world of work.
