STEM

The STEM programme at BGS will allow your child to extend their involvement in these key subjects beyond the timetable. It is designed to show just how many careers involve the STEM subjects, and to share some of the advances and discoveries being made today, hopefully inspiring your child for the future.

We welcome regular speakers to the School, both academics and those employed in the STEM sector – many of these talks are also open to parents. Your child will also have the opportunity to enter STEM competitions, perhaps designing their own product, or carrying out their own research into a STEM-related topic. 

Our pupils also take part in projects and placements run by local STEM employers, giving them the opportunity to apply knowledge gained in the classroom to real-world situations, as well as access to guidance and advice from experts in the field.
