Year 8 and 9

In Year 9 your child will have specific career orientated sessions in their Wellbeing lessons which will look at future pathways into university courses and job markets. They will look at changes within the labour market, which may give them a clearer picture about what opportunities their skills and interests can open for them in the working world. They will also look at the options for further study at Post-16 level and Post-18 level.

Year 9 have the first of many careers events in school, when a wide variety of employers come in to talk with them about what employers are looking for, what stands out on CVs and what pathways are available to Post-16/-18 students in their industries.
