Sixth Form

Students awarded any of the following scholarships will join our Scholars Programme, which, led by our Heads of Scholars, provides our most able students with a range of opportunities designed to stretch and challenge them. They will also receive an annual grant to support their artistic, sporting or academic development.

Scholarships no longer provide an automatic fee reduction. Instead, financial assistance is given through our means-tested Bursary award scheme, which any student applying to our Sixth Form is able to apply for when submitting their application.

Head’s Awards
All external candidates will be considered for these awards; there is no need to submit a separate application. These awards are made to recognise and celebrate those students who will positively contribute to school life and show an all-round academic ability.

Academic Awards
These are for applicants who will be studying A levels or the IB Diploma and show exceptional academic ability in two or more of the subjects they wish to take in the Sixth Form.

External candidates do not need to apply separately for this award as all applicants will be automatically considered. Our current Year 11 students should submit a 150-word personal statement to Mrs Lobo and Mrs Atkins, the Heads of Scholars; you will be notified of the submission date via email in the Autumn term.

Subject Scholars
In addition to the above, each year a select number of students are invited to join the Scholars Programme as subject scholars. They are seen as the academic leaders in our community. Joining our Scholars Programme is a prestigious achievement, which should enhance any application you make for further education.
