Olympic warm up for I&J pupils

BGS Infants and Juniors got warmed up for the Olympics on Friday with an Olympian Non-Uniform Day. Children came to school in sports themed clothing and had the chance to meet a local sporting hero – Bristol Flyers basketball player Corey Samuels – who led a brilliant assembly before the children joined him for a charity circuit.

Every class took on the circuit challenge, with the sponsorship money they raised being split between helping Olympic athletes pay for their training and BGS Infants and Juniors chosen charities – Guide Dogs for The Blind and The Brain Injury Trust. Well done to everyone on a super sporty day in aid of three excellent causes – you raised a whopping £3,940!
