BGS recently entered five teams in the local Inter-School sixth form mathematics competitions, where students take part in both individual and team rounds involving some very challenging questions.
An impressive number of BGS students again took part this term and they all participated very enthusiastically alongside other local schools, achieving considerable success.
In the Single Mathematics Competition on Tuesday 11 October, our teams came first and joint second. Particular congratulations are due to the team of Year 11 students (Charlie, Sujan, Kyle, Sam, Saty and Oliver) who, despite competing against sixth formers, won this competition convincingly.
A week later, on Tuesday 18 October, our Lower Sixth Further Mathematics team, consisting of Benedict, Matthew, Nick, Jamie, Kiku, Celeste and Varun, also won their competition in style. Congratulations to them all on some very impressive performances.
