Bristol Grammar School players take to the field for Bristol Rugby

No fewer than five players in Bristol Rugby’s squad to face Doncaster Knights at Ashton Gate on Sunday have connections to Bristol Grammar School.

Former BGS student James Dunn is in the starting fifteen, while fellow Old Bristolians Tom Rowland and Jack Capon are on the bench. They are joined in the replacements by Will Capon, Jack’s younger brother, and Charlie Powell. Both Will and Charlie are currently in the Sixth Form at Bristol Grammar School and will be making their senior Bristol Rugby debuts.

Speaking about the boys’ achievement Ben Scott, First Team Rugby coach at BGS, said: “It is wonderful to see so many talented, local young players making their mark in the senior Bristol Rugby side. BGS is delighted to have played a part in the development of five of them who are involved this weekend. Their success is down to their hard work and effort over many years and we wish all the boys the best of luck on Sunday.”
