BGS delegates enjoyed outstanding success at Exeter College on Saturday 21 September. Delegates representing Russia were chosen as the Outstanding Delegation, with Kazakhstan in second place. This success marks the sixth occasion in succession when BGS has won the Exeter College MUN shield. The team comprising Jay, Inigo, Kyle and Lucas are all experienced at Model United Nations but this was not the case for many of the nineteen students who attended. Indeed, Kazakhstan delegates Katie, Will, Alec and Rosa were taking part in an external event for the first time, which makes their achievement all the more remarkable.
BGS MUN Secretary-General Jay comments: ‘Although it was great to win again, having some younger pupils with us was also amazing. Several were in Year 9, and quite a few have only just joined BGS in September. The future of BGS MUN looks very bright.’
