Model United Nations is a popular club at BGS, open to pupils from Year 9 upwards who enjoy discussion, debate and developing an understanding of global issues.
BGS MUN has enjoyed an excellent start to the academic year. They travelled to The Hague to take part in their first International Conference, where they made a significant impact and enjoyed the new experiences of debating with students from across the world. They have also won awards at conferences more locally, such as at Queen’s College, Taunton and Exeter College.
Next term, they are looking forward to the annual BGSMUN held here in February and another residential trip to Westminster School in London in March. MUN is thriving thanks to the great enthusiasm and leadership of our Secretariat and a particularly vibrant Year 11 – if you'd like to get involved they meet on Mondays at 12.30 in M3 or ask Mrs Cowell or Mrs Clare for more information!
