BGS pupils hosted our annual Model United Nations event on Sunday 30 January, and it certainly wasn’t thirteenth time unlucky. A dozen schools from Exeter, Taunton and Bristol took part, representing 30 nations from around the world. The Emergency Scenario was a particular highlight for lobbying and discussion because delegates were expected to react to a mock invasion of Ukraine by Russia. This required ingenuity and an ability to work under time pressure, while also faithfully representing the views of delegates’ countries.
We congratulate pupils from Exeter School who won the Outstanding Delegation shield. The BGS Secretariat would like to thank those who helped make the event a success, particularly the Facilities Team, our Catering Team and Mrs Bennett in Reprographics.
