Once again, a gallant team of BGS Staff put their razors to one side during ‘Movember’ and grew moustaches of varying shapes, sizes and colours! This was the eighth year of our participation, and the total so far for staff is £365, a pound for every day of the year. This comfortably beats last year’s total of £275, but staff complacency this year was not an option.
Giving proof to the idea that students soon outgrow their teachers, a team of Sixth-formers led by Noah entered Movember with gusto. Their total of £417 was an outstanding effort, and had their teachers bristling with pleasure.
Comments Staff Captain Robert Massey: ‘Movember this year was great fun for us, if not our wives and partners! It has never been more relevant to think about men’s health, especially prostate cancer and mental health issues, and this is an ideal way to raise our collective awareness. Having the Sixth Form on board was inspiring all round. Many thanks to all contributors and supporters, and here’s to growing success next year.’
