Ron Cockitt 1938–2019

We are sad to report that former Bristol Grammar School teacher Ron Cockitt passed away on Saturday morning; our thoughts are with his wife Liz and the family at this time. Ron taught Biology at BGS for 34 years, was Head of Biology for 10 years and was Head of House from 1967-75. After his retirement in 1997, Ron served as a School Governor for 8 years and was on the OBs' Management Committee, becoming President of the Society in 2005.
Ron’s funeral will be at Westbury-on-Trym Parish Church on Wednesday 4 December at 2pm followed by refreshments in the Village Hall. There will be a cremation at Canford at 3 pm for family.
