It was another busy year of fundraising last year in BGS Infants and Juniors. With last year’s fundraising total topping £3,000, the School was able to donate just over £1,000 to each of last year's chosen charities, School in a Bag, Children’s Hospice South West and Winston’s Wish.
This week the Charity Committee welcomed Lis Foy from 'School in a Bag' and helped her pack the more than fifty bags the BGS donation had purchased. Each bag contains exercise books, pens, pencils, a lunchbox and water bottle and, once packed will be sent to the Philippines where they will be given to children who otherwise would not have access to the supplies needed to be able to attend school.
Well done to the Charity Committee for all their hard work, and thank you to everyone who so generously supported last year's fundraising.
