This year's Year 6 play was to be the first Year 6 production in the Theatre in the new 1532 Performing Arts Centre and the children knew they had to produce a showstopper. Their production of Bugsy Malone certainly did not disappoint! Auditions took place before the Easter holiday and it was evident that the performance was going to feature star quality performances. The Year 6 pupils worked incredibly hard in rehearsal and in their art lessons to make all of the props for the show, as well as painting the scenery. The final effect was fantastic and with the addition of silly string for the splurge guns, the show went off with a bang! When the curtain went up, the children rehearsed and performed like true professionals. Working with a band of professional musicians and wearing fabulous costumes, they took to the stage and had a blast! Well done to all of the children involved, their colourful and energetic performances were enjoyed by all.
