BGS pupils from Year 10 to the U6 took part in the MUN conference at Exeter School on Saturday. Representing Russia, the USA and Kenya, delegates discussed issues ranging from the rights of indigenous peoples to Taliban rule in Afghanistan.

Among the awards issued by the Committee Chairs were a Highly Commended Delegate award for Lucy (Y10) and Commended Delegate awards for Rosie (also Y10), Juliette and Dasha (both L6) and Finn (U6).

Dr Massey comments: ‘This was the first in-person MUN event for almost two years. It was great experience for some of our younger and less experienced delegates to be able to discuss and debate key current issues with pupils from all over the South West.’
