On Thursday 8 October, last year’s BGS Juniors General Knowledge quiz team competed in the finals of the Quiz Club National Inter-School Championships. Lohith (now in Year 7), Orlando (Year 6), Lamorna (Year 5) and Hektor (Year 4) competed in the online final, postponed from last term.
Out of 812 teams (3,248 children) that competed last year, the children did fantastically well to make it to the top 47 teams (188 children) in the final. This time, the children played individually on iPads answering questions that ranged from spelling and Maths to world Geography, Science and History. After a few technical glitches, we were delighted to hear that, individually, Lohith tied in second place and Orlando tied in seventh place. Overall, as a team, they finished twenty-third, which was a fantastic achievement. Congratulations to all of them!
