Inter-school maths competitions

BGS recently entered four teams in the local Inter-School sixth form mathematics competitions, where students take part in both individual and team rounds involving some very challenging questions.
BGS students again participated very enthusiastically alongside other local schools where they achieved considerable success.
Particular congratulations are due to the Year 11 students: Charlie, Sujan, Alfie, Sam and Oliver who, despite competing against sixth formers, came joint first in the competition on Tuesday 31 January.
Then, on Tuesday 7 February, our Upper Sixth Further team of only four students – Tom, Elise, Josh and Angus – performed exceptionally and also came joint first in their competition. Very well done to both teams.
