Congratulations Jemima

Year 9 Bristol Grammar School student Jemima has been elected to the Bristol City Youth Council in the recent city-wide Big Youth Vote.

Twenty candidates stood in Bristol North, with Jemima successful in being elected to one of the twelve posts. Schools, youth groups and community groups all acted as polling stations, with the vote open to young people aged 11–18.

As a member of the Youth Council, Jemima will be able to represent the views of young people in Bristol to the City Council on the decisions that are important to them and ensure that their opinions are voiced and heard.

Well done Jemima, we are sure you will do a great job.
