Introducing the Wellbeing Hub

Supporting the wellbeing of our students is at the heart of everything we do at BGS, and working in partnership with our parents and carers is a vital part of that ethos.

In an ever-changing world, we recognise that young people can face new and sometimes complex pressures, which can in turn present families and friends with uncertainties as they seek to support them.

Our aim at BGS is to ensure that our community feels informed and confident in helping children navigate those challenging moments, so that together we can promote their wellness. To support the whole BGS community in this commitment, we have invested in The Wellbeing Hub – a resource created by experts in child and adolescent mental health and wellbeing.

Available to members of the BGS community for free, The Wellbeing Hub offers expert and trusted guidance, resources and contacts to help our young people thrive, in a variety of useful accessible formats. This includes access to:

  • Expert advice on supporting your child’s wellbeing including parenting courses
  • Articles, videos, and practical tools to help you navigate everyday challenges
  • Guidance on topics such as friendships, online safety, resilience, and more
  • Monthly webinars with experts in their field to help you support your child

Some of the additional benefits that will also be available to our school community include:

  • Staff will have access to a 10-part course to better support students’ mental health and wellbeing in school, as well as a range of teaching resources
  • Students aged 10+ have their own access to the platform, with resources designed for children and young people

We are delighted to enhance our pastoral support offering with this valuable resource and hope that everyone finds The Wellbeing Hub both helpful and thought provoking.
