Go4Set award for BGS girls
6 June 2019
On Wednesday 5 June, six Year 8 BGS pupils went to Airbus in Filton to present the outcome of a ten-week STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) project. Go4set is a national award that pairs pupils with a mentor from the world of Engineering to work on a design brief; this year's challenge was to design an eco-factory. The group had to consider the environmental impact not only of the building itself, but also of the product it would make.
The BGS team of Olwyn, Teresa, Lucy, Izabela, Zoey and Orla won two of the four awards – the People's Choice award and Best Teamwork. Congratulations to them all on this fantastic achievement.
