Last week, Year 3, 4 and 5 enjoyed Life Skills week which saw the pupils learning a wide range of skills, including how to tie their shoe laces, how to make the perfect cup of tea and how to sort their laundry (using laundry symbols). Year 3 and Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed their trip to St. Fagan’s and Year 4 had a wonderful visit from Dave, who took them on adventures through the rainforest.
Visitors also came to the school to teach about financial first aid, scooter safety, music and introducing us to some of the objects that visually impaired people use in their everyday lives. Our own talented staff led sessions on first aid, sign language, designing and making key rings, tying knots, drama, water safety, taking photographs, shopping in euros, mindfulness, healthy lifestyles and wrapping presents. The week was full of events spanning the whole curriculum including Computing, Science, PE, Swimming and Food Technology. The pupils had a fabulous week creating a happy and purposeful buzz around school. Below are a few photos that capture some of the events that took place.
