Cops but no robbers – Year 1 investigate

Year 1 had an extra special visit up at Failand this morning. Police Dog Leia and her handler, a traffic car and officers, and two firearms cars were all there to say 'Hello' to Year One. The police showed the children inside their cars, as well as telling them all about their jobs – although the Firearms cars had to rush off as a call came in!
After this, Dog Handler Baz and Police Dog Leia showed us how dogs are used to track property and find ‘criminals’. A brilliant morning with lots of the children saying they would like to join the Police when they are older! A big thank you to all the police officers for coming to visit us; the children had a fantastic time.
